Information about the compliance service

Trustees of associations can change due to death, resignation, or removal. Churches and mosques are registered under Incorporated Trustee, and if a denominational change occurs, a new trustee is needed.

Requirements

Info and documents needed for this service

  1. Extracts of minutes of general meeting signed by the chairman and secretary or any trustee on record and stating the reason for the change
  2. Trustee’s declaration form signed by each trustee and sworn to at any Court or before a notary public
  3.  Publication of notices in 2 daily newspapers circulating in the area where association is situated (one of which must be national newspaper)
  4.  Minimum size of publication shall be 8cm x 2 or 3”x2 and shall state the full names of the new trustees
  5.  The publication shall invite objections to the change of trustees and limit 28 days for such objections to reach the Commission
  6.  Where there is an objection to the change of trustees, the objection shall state the grounds upon which it is made
  7.  Photocopy of recognised and valid means of photo identification, i.e. National Identification Card, Data Page of International Passport, Driver’s Licence or Voter’s Card for new trustees
  8.  Copy of the public notice as published in the newspapers shall be pasted at the headquarters or any branch or other place where a majority of the members of the association are likely to see it and every branch of the association for 28 days

  8. Upload the necessary documents
  9. Pay fees
  10. Submit your application and wait for approval or query
